The Golden Tours Foundation is one of the key sponsors of International Day of Yoga at Alexander Palace where there will be more than 80 events held. The Foundation believes in the importance of yoga in the development of individuals and the overall well-being of society.
At London’s Alexander Palace, there is a whole host of activities with well-known practitioners. There are around 80 classes with some of the biggest names in yoga. The event is supported by a number of sponsors including Yogi Tea, Om Shanti Tea, Vita CoCo, Azul Wellbeing and Golden Tours Foundation.
The event is in response to the UN declaring 21 June as the International Day of Yoga at the request of India’s Prime Minister Modi who stated his case to the UN General Assembly that “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies the unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change.”
HMB is very keen to find out the type of activities people are organising all around the country. For further information about events at Alexander Palace, please go to http://www.iyd.yoga/
